Welcome to the Home Page for
Irish and Irish Immigration Studies at SIUC.
As a teaching and research institution, Southern Illinois University at
Carbondale has many resources that allow for focused, multidisciplinary
study of Ireland and the world-wide dispersal of Irish immigrants at
both the undergraduate and graduate level. Irish and Irish Immigration
Studies draws on resources from many fields across campus, including
English, History, Theater, Sociology, Speech Communication, Psychology,
and Library Affairs, to develop courses and individual programs of
study in areas that cross disciplinary boundaries and combine
fields while sharing the significant resources for research available
at
SIUC.
